The past few months have been pretty great for Scion. The brand saw consistent sales increases that reached double digits, thanks in large part to two all-new models, the iA sedan and iM hatchback. They also announced that a third new model will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, November 18 and 19.

To add to the new-vehicle excitement, on Scions blog, we read of a new special edition version of the FR-S, the Release Series 2.0. Sporting the same FA20 Boxer engine, the real changes are on the inside. “The FR-S is well known for being a fabulous sports car, and now we’re taking it up a notch in the luxury arena,” said Scion Vice President Andrew Gilleland.

The interior features black leather and Alacantara throughout, with camel-colored stitching and accents. Luxury amenities include Smart key with push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Production will be limited to just 1,000 vehicles, and each one will have a sequentially numbered Release Series badge embroidered on the dash.
