Performance

Prior to its redesign, the Toyota Tundra came standard with a robust V8 engine, which generated over 400-horsepower and gave this full-size truck a towing capacity of up to 10,000 lbs., with the right equipment. Today's Tundra comes available with two i-FORCE V6 engines, one of which has hybrid capabilities and generates 437-horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. This available i-FORCE MAX engine gives the Tundra the most capability, with the ability to tow up to 12,000 lbs.

Each version of the Tundra has come available with an electronically controlled automatic transmission.
